wind turbine

Wind turbines are located in usually outdoors, fields and or near water bodies. They have to be put in places with high winds. The turbine has blades that spin around really fast when the wind pushes them. This spinning manoeuver generates electricity as well through a generator. The electrical energy can be used to run things that we all use in our daily lives - refrigerators, lights at home or offices etc.

Wind Mills in their own way are pretty neat; they make electricity. Wind moves the blades which turn a part called a rotor. The output rotor is connected to a spindle which revolves within a generator. Obviously by spinning, the shaft is producing electricity which flows through those wires to our homes and buildings. It is a bit like riding a bike, to clarify. It is like the bike pedals vs. Wind turbine blades When you pedal, it rotates the wheels just like the blades that rotate when wind blows on to them.

How Wind Turbines Generate Electricity.

Windmills are a fantastic means of eco-friendly strength. It is renewable as it can be used again and again unlike fossil fuels which we use in cars, factories etc. Wind turbines also generate clean energy, no pollution is produced as does the burning of coal or oil. We would make ourselves much more resilient, and greatly reduce our dependency on nonrenewable resources by harnessing wind these turbines provide - meaning using less harmful practices to take care of planet earth: the place we all call home.

But wind turbines make use not a few disadvantages. They only downside to them is that they cannot produce electricity if there isn't any wind. This means that we can never rely on wind turbines to make electricity, especially days when it is calm. Also, some people do not like how wind turbines look because they are very high structures and occupy a large area in the landscape.
